Deco pages and Loom work

I have even had a go on my loom, only had it about 7yrs and it has just come out the box. I am stuck now as it does not tell you how to finish off so am thinking about how to do it. Oh and by the way guess who started at the wrong end..........................................

Well some of you asked to see more of my deco book, so have added the pages I have received, photo's not brill but will give you the gist of it. You may remember I told you I boobed on the size of my pages ( what's new) but being the first time I have made one of these books was making sure they would not be too small. Anyhow I have made the extra work for me and put the persons name on of who made the pages, so hopefully now does not look odd. I have edged all the pages with my gold Krylon pen
the above page is one of mine, I always put mine on the 1st and last pages, so I can put the other players on together, if you know what I mean

My deco book

I am so chuffed I have made my deco book from the one Susie Jefferson had in Craft Stamper. Not perfect but am pleased as my first go, got the page sizes wrong but what do you expect from me. I have manage to sort them out though so I did not have to start again and not dead straight but those that know me know I can't do straight. Anyhow hope some of you like it

My theme is black red and gold Asian but unfortunately I did not have a piece of washi big enough for the front and back cover, so used this fab piece I got off my friend Darlene

Artistic goddess

Have made Elly (Granddaughter) another card, above give the other one to my Daughter to give her so she will still get it. Elly is very arty too and is doing art and textiles at collage so i thought this stamp would suit her very well for her card
The ATC's above are what I have done for Marches KC swap, as it was anything goes thought I would try some of my THoltz goodies I bought not so long ago and the butterfly stamp is off my friend Darlene

This card above is for my Granddaughter, have not put her name on yet, blimey she is 16 this month how the time has flown. I know these images aren't stamped but I love them. They are from Debbie Moore designs

What can I make with this

Well you know these adverts for different company's you get through the door and as you pick them up you are cursing thinking more junk mail straight in the recycle. Well put this one on the table and thought, good template that. See below
Anyhow, I had a go, traced round the outline on card then cut it out. Then I went round the heart shapes with a embossing tool and cut them out and stuck them on the card and decorated it a bit. Not a fabulous card but was just a trial to see how it would look and you can see it below

It will work, just have to try something different next time, made this one for my Sue and she will like it but not really my taste

New die

This is the new car die from Tim Holtz when I saw it I just had to have it. You know what it is like girls. Well I am pleased I got it as I love it. The cog stamps are from Stamp Attack and the cog die is another of Tim's. I am trying to make flatter cards for the post as you all know postage is going up again. Before long we ain't gonna be able to send anything, it will be too expensive. Lets be honest we all love our Birthdays more when we get lots of cards. I must admit I look forward to mine more, (even though I am getting old) since I joined KC Yahoo group as it is great to get all those extra cards

Hubby's birthday

Well it is Fred's birthday next week and here are the cards I have made for him. I can't decide whether to give him the Ostrich or the Meercats. They are off a Peerless designs CD, I just love them they are called cuddle up cards as they are designed to close so that they look as if they are together
The one below, well it explains itself, from a My craft studio CD and they are called off the shelf cards. Fred used to play darts many moons ago and was a good player too
This one below again speaks for itself and he does like his pint but only has one once a week now bless him. You will be asking why so many cards, well I always make one for our Daughter Kim and one for Simon but can't make my mind up which one I should give him LOL

This and that

My Grandson Tom came and asked me to make his Dad a card for his birthday and this is what I came up with, am pleased to say he liked it. Apart from the hat it is very much like them as they are always taking there dog to the Dene and the fields to have a good walk

The above one is not stamped, the Tinkerbell is of a colouring page, had to do Tinkerbell as she is daft about her. The butterfly is a Woodwear punch, the crown is off a CD I have, the rose I made. Pleased to say she loved that, thought she would as I put loads of glitz on, you tell me one little girl that does not like glitz
The above card is a very delicate baby card, think I should of used a deeper blue to stamp the image but never mind it is better in real life and must admit this is my favourite baby stamp, have others but always go back to this one. It is made by Santa Rosa

Hearts of hearts

Found out my Daughter in law loves hearts after 17 years,,,,,,,,,, so this is what I made her for her birthday. The card above is not stamped but you see she loves angels and fairies and this picture has both, it is another one from Joanne Sheenes CD, it is a fab cd
The heart above I made from scratch, don't faint, had no pattern no pins, all hand stitched and even though I say it myself I was quite pleased how it turned out and it brought a tear to Tracy's eye as she loved it and that was all that mattered. That is all for now Folks

Next deco round

Here are my first two pages for KC next deco round, these are for Janice, her theme is black pink and mauve. The above one I have used Paper Artsy stamps and the trees are Elusive images. I used Brilliance inbad for the background as it gives it a nice shimmer
Sorry this is a bit blurd, did the same background but used a lovely friendship verse for the main as here theme was also friendship, this is from Simply Stamps. The butterfly is the freebie off this months Craft stamper. I am pleased to say she likes them

new template

Just got this template and I really like it, took me a while as it always does when I try something new. I am slow you know. The little girl is Magnolia as you all will know and the ring she is sat on is a new Marianne die. The butterfly is a Woodware punch which I think it is quite pretty

Above is a close up as you can see I never get anything spot on, how these Folks do I don't know as I can never do anything straight.
Been minding Kids all week so that is why I have not posted, have not had any energy. Thought I had better post tonight as you will all think I have deserted, he he

Just a quicky

Above a card I made with a new embossing folder I bought, it really is so pretty, it is a Marianne's design and the stamp of the little girls is from Crafty Individual
This was made for a Asian swap I was in, you had to make anything but a card, so I made a calender with one of my most favourite stamps from Acey Jucey. The roses I made, I am enjoying making these, they get quite addictive, anyway hope you like them

50 years

Above is a card I made for a friend for her 50th wedding Anniversary, not a bit of stamping on it but did make the roses and am pleased to say she liked it. What a achievement 50 years isn't it lovely
Above are my ATC's I have done for my KC swap, theme was pink and brown, for once I was quite pleased with how they turned out.
Have not been around for a few days as my modem has been playing up, going on and off all the time, driving me mad it is like having your hand cut off. Amazing how we get used to our PC's and feel so isolated when they are not working, sad or what. Anyhow am glad to be back

Alex's card

Well this one is for my Great Nephew, he is 12 in a few days. I find the boys get harder to make for as they get older. He is a football freak but I do that every time and am sick of making football cards, so come up with this instead, see Tim's houses at the bottom, think these are great as you can use them for all sorts.
Hope he likes it

A little bit of fantasy

The card above I have made for a friends birthday, the little girls are from Crafty individuals and the punch of coarse is from Martha Stewart love these punches, the background on the tag is stamped with a lace stamp I have, cannot remember were I bought it but do love it and it stamps lovely
The above card is not stamped ( I wish I was that clever) it is a image of the new cd from Joanne Sheene, isn't it a fabulous image, in fact all the images are gorgeous. The lady that did paint them originally is one very clever person, wish I was half as talented, just wanted to show it as I love it
